Bob Proctor: Difference between revisions

Robert "Bob" Proctor is an elderly man and philanthropist known for his close association with Daniel Larson, and is arguably one of the most important figures in his life. Bob assumed the challenging role in becoming Daniel's guardian and "mentor," an undertaking exposing him to the full extent of Daniel's behavioral issues and mental illness. He is also known for being involved in some of the most infamous incidents, particularly the December 10th and August 31st Incident<nowiki/>s. Bob also served as a frequent scapegoat to blame whenever Daniel needed one, as well as a player in Daniel's delusions, as trolls would constantly impersonate him to gain influence over him.

Bob has also served as a patron of Daniel's music career, financing the production of his most famous song, "Roaring Thunder," and encouraged his further musical endeavors. Despite this support, Daniel has done nothing but take his generosity for granted by frequently getting into arguments with him, becoming aggressive toward him, and misusing the funds provided for him. In one instance, Daniel spent money intended for basic necessities on a fleshlight, showing his pattern of irresponsible use of Bob's financial assistance.

Bob is keenly aware of Daniel's social media activity and, consequently, has repeatedly requested Daniel not to film him, citing concerns about potential harassment from trolls. At one point, Bob even asked Daniel to refrain from using his phone altogether due to his irresponsible behavior online. Obviously, Daniel has not respected these wishes, once even getting into a physical altercation with Bob which ended up in the authorities having to be called.

Following the August 31st Incident, Bob reportedly ceased providing financial support to Daniel and was believed to have cut off Daniel permanently. However, during the start of the Second Jail Arc it was revealed by Flexburger that Bob was back in contact with Daniel, and every time Daniel mentioned him after Christmas 2023 was geniune. Following Daniel's arrest on 30 April 2024 and his subsequent incarceration, Bob had sporadic contact with Daniel over text messages. In January 2026, Bob was set to testify in Daniel's federal case. Since then, Bob has not reappeared in the Larsonverse.
