Self-awareness

On rare occasions, Daniel has shown signs of self-awareness, oftentimes questioning his decisions and delusions. Usually, these moments manifest during times where Daniel is calm and actually thinking of his own accord, however they usually last very short.

Mental State

As per Daniel's mental state, he often assumes that he is a celebrity and talking to icons such as Grace VanderWaal and numerous others, despite the obvious lack of evidence. These conversations are usually done by Trolls or Weens, and most of the time, Daniel falls for these trolls and takes their statements at face value.

Moments of Self Awareness

Despite the fact that Daniel thinks he is talking to real celebrities, he has demonstrated signs of self-awareness.

On March 24, 2024, Daniel posted on his Youtube community tab "I don't know who is at fault anymore", with a user replying with "It's pretty clear that it is all your fault". Surprisingly, Daniel had "hearted" the comment, leaving many to wonder whether Daniel had a moment of realization.

In an example of someone confronting Daniel regarding the fake Grace Vanderwaal he had been speaking to, instead of usually deleting or ignoring the comment, he replied with the word "True".

One of the more well-known moments of self-awareness comes from a video Daniel made on April 8, 2023 during the Travel Arc, where he apologizes to Grace for stalking her for so long.

By far the most well-known example of self-awareness comes from a video of him acknowledging his own nose from a video uploaded on May 13, 2023, touching his own beak-like nose and calling the length of it "weird".
