Afterwards, Daniel was charged with seven counts of making threats, and after being deemed incompetent for trial, Daniel was institutionalized at MCFP Springfield for multiple treatment cycles. On March 20, 2026, Daniel took a plea deal with the government and 6 charges were dropped as a result, and on April 9, had a change of plea hearing with judge Regina M. Rodriguez.
