It was originally thought that this arrest was due to Daniel violating probation several times, as in the days following up to his arrest, Daniel [[Buffalo Wild Wings ejection|defrauded a Buffalo Wild Wings]], and admitted to viewing CSEM.<ref>[[:File:Daniels Admission.png]]</ref> However, according to a call made to his manager, [[Clark]], Daniel was arrested for the several terroristic threats he's made over the years, and according to his claims, he has federal charges which could land him in prison for several years. This was then confirmed by leaked documents, confirming that he had 7 counts of threats, which if all placed on him, could land him in prison for 70 years. This all happened after close to a year of Secret Service agent [[Daniel MacDougall]], who many thought to be a troll at first, investigating him for his various antics, who then put this arrest into place.   

This is one of the most significant events in Daniel's life, considering that, as of now, Daniel is currently at risk of being imprisoned for 70 years if found guilty on all charges. Many fans see this as being the final nail in the coffin, with his [[Plot Armor|plot armor]] truly breaking.

Daniel was arrested by on the afternoon of April 30, and booked into the Jefferson County Detention Facility, ineligible for bail. His charge was "courtesy housing for another agency" before it was revealed that he was charged with 7 counts of uttering threats. On May 2nd, the flexburger YouTube channel uploaded the full call between Clark and Daniel,<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5DAIS-Dv8eY</ref> although it is likely that the call took place sometime during the 1st due to a previous leaking of the audio<ref>https://www.reddit.com/r/Daniellarson/comments/1ci5r01/update_its_most_likely_all_over_folks/</ref>. Portions of the audio are removed by a robotic voice saying "property of Larsonleak" to keep some of the info hidden. Daniel starts by stating that the feds are looking into Bob's financial situation because they believe that Bob was committing fraud. Daniel then informs Clark that he has Federal court on Monday (5/6/2024) and has acquired a public defender. Daniel has been deemed a flight risk and the judge said that he is one step away from acting on these threats. Daniel drops a bombshell that the [[DDRC]] building had to be evacuated because of his bomb threats.

Daniel is facing serious legal charges, including "Use or Threatened Use of Explosive" (18 U.S.C. §844(e)) and 1 count of "Interstate Communication of Threats" (18 U.S.C. §875(c))<ref>https://www.reddit.com/r/Daniellarson/comments/1cimzie/joyous_day/#lightbox</ref>. Each "Use or Threatened Use of Explosive" charge carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in federal prison. It is difficult to provide an accurate estimate to the fines that Daniel might face. However, it is likely that Daniel will face a significant fine ranging in the hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars.  

As for Daniel's managers, given the fact they indirectly coerced Daniel into making these threats as well as impersonated federal agents, they may be charged with coercion or impersonation, with each carrying a sentence up to 7 years and up to 3 years respectfully<ref>https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/912</ref>. While it is unknown whether they indeed got arrested, their recent absence from social media may give a clue.
