Background

In May 2024, a federal grand jury indicted Daniel Larson on seven criminal counts related to alleged threats made between July 2023 and March 2024. The indictment alleges that Larson made multiple false bomb threats targeting locations including a Colorado county courthouse, a nonprofit center in Lakewood, the White House, a Colorado state government building, a Colorado college campus, and FBI headquarters. He was also charged with transmitting a threat to injure an FBI special agent. The charges include six counts of making bomb threats and one count of transmitting an interstate threat. Larson pleaded not guilty, and the case remains pending.

The Sentence

On July 21st, 2026, Daniel was officially sentenced by judge Regina M. Rodriguez. The decision was made to release him from prison[1] with release plans organized by his trust team. These plans detailed private housing with a caregiver, and probation monitoring his devices for harassment by would-be trolls or weens.[2]
