Post-Prison Release Sightings

Daniel was released from prison after serving two years and two months on July 22, 2026 by judge Regina M. Rodriguez. Daniel does not have access to social media, and since his release, updates on him have come from the many times he was spotted in public by fans. Daniel was first spotted on July 26, 2026, four days after his release, and the first photo of him was released on August 3, 2026. Since then, Daniel has been spotted over ten times.

First sighting

Daniel would be absent online for the next 12 days until August 3, 2026, when a photograph of him at a bar with his caregiver surfaced online, and was posted to r/Daniellarson and LarsonLeak. Beyond the sighting, the arc has been marked by Daniel's absence online, presumed to be because of his probation officer monitoring his devices. The prospect of getting into hot water with the law has seemed to sufficiently deter most would-be weens and enablers, the very people who usually provoked and kept Daniel's activity going, from trying to contact him. His previous incarceration has not stopped Daniel from keeping his interest in Grace VanderWaal, as his battery of comments under her latest music video(s) evidently shows.

Second sighting

Daniel would be spotted 3 days later on August 6, 2026. In photographs that surfaced, Daniel looks to have visibly put on weight, confirming speculation that a steady stream of 3 meals a day and anti-psychotic medication allowed him to do so.

Third sighting

Daniel would be spotted again on August 6, 2026. In photographs that surfaced, Daniel is seen presumably entering a car with his caregiver. Of course, his biggest identifiable feature in the otherwise low-quality photo is his schnozz.

Fourth sighting

Daniel would be spotted for the first time on July 26, 2026, in what is currently the earliest known photograph of him following his release. The photos would only surface publicly on August 6, making it the fourth sighting to become publicly known. In photographs that surfaced, Daniel is standing next to one of his fans in a different outfit than he was in photos posted before.

Fifth sighting

Daniel was spotted once again on August 8, 2026, wearing a new outfit. He is seen sitting in a chair, talking with Jeffrey Feiler, his attorney, and his caretaker. Daniel can be seen doing an angry tongue as Jeffrey Feiler says "We're still trying to figure out why-"

Shopping mall sightings

Daniel was spotted for the first time in two weeks walking by a mall, and the photo was posted a few days later. On August 23, 2026 at a shopping mall. He is wearing the same Calvin Klein T-shirt as the first spotting. He was spotted the next day talking to fans.

Daniel was spotted walking the same shopping mall on August 28, 2026. He was also spotted the next day there, and fans got photos with him.

On August 30, 2026, Daniel was spotted again and he is wearing a new shirt. The person who spotted Daniel asked him a few questions. Daniel stated that he was working on new music and was happy to be back in Denver, but does not have Internet access and cannot make social media accounts. The same day, Daniel shouted out fans in videos.
