Daniel Larson was committed to a mental hospital on the first of March after threatening a Casino with fireworks. He was given a pair of those grippy hospital socks, and even numerous months later, still wears them despite them being dirty and visibly covered in mold.
This is not just disgusting, but also very dangerous as he has trench foot and it could get his wounds infected and potentially contribute to the eventual amputation of his foot if it does not heal.
