Album cover of Roaring Thunder.

Roaring Thunder is one of the most well-known songs of Daniel Larson. The song was released on July 15, 2021, and is the first professionally recorded song released by him. The song is one of the most well-known parts of Daniel Larson's internet career, having over 600,000 streams on Spotify. The song has also received traction on social media platforms such as TikTok, where the song has been used in over 3,000 videos with some videos reaching well over 500k likes.

The song was recorded in a professional studio paid for by Bob Proctor. Even more, it was written and produced by Tom Capek of Colorado Sound, who is best known for composing for famous singers such as Eminem and The Black Eyed Peas.[1][2]

Daniel claims to have written the song himself, but this seems almost impossible. Daniel is notably illiterate and obviously does not possess the capabilities to write such lyrics. Instead, it is way more likely that Bob purchased the rights to a pre-written song (or multiple). This would cover all tasks such as mixing and mastering, and all Daniel would need to do is record vocals in the studio, and receive the final song.

Lyrics

It's been a long time

Never thought this would be

You've always been mine, but I have to be free

Golden sunsets, reflections on the sea

A reminder, of what used to be

Roaring thunder, northern lights

Through the night, they fly

Pounding hearts, epic voices

Rising to the sky

Everything changes, but love remains

My heart and soul, longs for that again

Knowing I'm home, where I belong

Heartache lingers, can we be strong?

Roaring thunder, northern lights

Through the night, they fly

Pounding hearts, epic voices

Rising to the sky

Ten thousand miles away, it's a new day

My heart beating along

Will you catch me if I fall?

Roaring thunder, northern lights

Through the night, they fly

Pounding hearts, epic voices

Rising to the sky

Roaring thunder, northern lights

Through the night, they fly

Pounding hearts, epic voices

Rising to the sky

Roaring thunder, northern lights

Through the night, they fly

Pounding hearts, epic voices

Rising to the sky

Roaring thunder, northern lights

Through the night, they fly

Pounding hearts, epic voices

Rising to the sky

Genius: VERIFIED

Daniel breaks down the meaning of "Roaring Thunder"s lyrics in this video, though one could argue he is clearly making up things on the spot. He also claims the song took "about three months to write" then backtracks and says it took five minutes. Daniel says that "Roaring Thunder" was made during a "hard situation" in his life, where that friends & family didn't believe in his career.
