DDRC
The Developmental Disabilities Resource Center, or the DDRC, is a social services organization in Lakewood, Colorado. It was founded in 1957 and provides a variety of services to people with developmental disabilities and their families, including early intervention, residential services, vocational training, and behavioral health services. The DDRC is a non-profit organization and is funded by a combination of state and federal grants, private donations, and fees for services.
The DDRC has been the primary source of Daniel's case managers such as Reva and Andrew.
Daniel's Rants
Daniel is not fond of the DDRC, despite their benevolent attempts to help him.
In June 2022, Daniel uploaded a video where he has a mental lapse while trying to complain about the DDRC before making a bubbling sound with his tongue. [1] However, that summer, Daniel did work with the DDRC to get him housing, which succeeded on August 31, 2022 when he was placed into housing with the Shields Foundation. He did not last long, and was evicted on October 16, 2022 after a violent meltdown.
On June 14, 2023, Daniel uploaded a video in which he explained that the DDRC had, "...promised to pay for his studio time," which they never did.
Daniel does not understand that the DDRC are one of the very few entities in his life that are genuinely trying to help him. It appears they have cut contact and that neither party wants anything to do with the other. Furthermore, Daniel threatened lawsuits against the DDRC, and at one point threatened them with a bomb, which led to the building being evacuated and searched by bomb-sniffing dogs, and was included in Daniel's eventual arrest.
