Second Jail Arc: Difference between revisions

During the summer of 2023, a Secret Service agent named [[Daniel MacDougall]] would begin to investigate Daniel following several threats he had made, namely one where he said, ".. I am done, and I will not stop until the White House is blown up." following being released from police custody after having a [[7/11 incident|destructive meltdown]] in a Walmart, as well as having his [[Dog Arc|dog]] taken from him. Daniel would have multiple meetings with MacDougall, most notably one wherein he would meet up with MacDougall and an associate of his where he would be politely asked to stop live streaming before they began to talk.<ref>https://archive.org/details/p1Kq9L756V8</ref>  

Despite being told multiple times by a legitimate Secret Service agent to cease making threats against people and businesses, Daniel refused, even making threats against MacDougall himself.{{Citation Needed}} Due to this, a case would be built against Daniel, which would eventually lead to his arrest. Even more, law enforcement interrogated both Clark and members of management to confirm threats that Daniel had made over the years. This ended up being the final peices of evidence needed to arrest Daniel.   

On the evening of the 29th, he then went inactive on every one of his [[Social Media Accounts|social media accounts]], with his last post saying that he was on the bus back to Boulder. <ref>https://www.youtube.com/post/UgkxsS17QYOV0UL9Eka2f4uORLmzDC1YXhJQ</ref> This would never happen, of course. [[File:April30thBookingInfo.png|thumb|"Ladies and gentlemen, we got him."|left|350x350px]]Daniel is well known for making terroristic threats via social media and is speculated to have made over 100 threats since 2021, though this number is purely speculative. This habit of threat-making appeared to escalate in the weeks preceding his arrest. A prime example of this trend can be observed in the [[April 6th Meltdown]], where Daniel repeated the phrase '''"bomb you!"''' and '''"kill you!"''', as well as threatening to cause damage to police stations and several other individuals. Daniel also made numerous threats against [[Bob Proctor]] on his YouTube community tab during this time, namely threatening to assasinate him. Additionally, Daniel [[January 26th Hospital Incident|threatened a mass shooting against a hospital]] after being kicked out for loitering during January of the same year.

These threats would not serve him in the long run, as the Colorado PD would build a case against him, charging him with 7 counts of threats, which, even if unlikely, could land him in jail for 70 years if he were to be found guilty of all of them. In the indictment calling for Daniel's arrest, each threat Daniel had made that contributed to his arrest was stated, most notably one wherein Daniel threatened to bomb a non-profit organization which was soon discovered to be the DDRC. The DDRC was a non-profit organization that helped Daniel get housing the past, and the reason behind this threat is known, but this eventually lead to it's building being evacuated and investigated by police due to suspicion of the bomb threat being legitimate.   

After being arrested, he was placed into Jefferson County Detention Facility, but only a day later, Daniel would be placed into Clear Creek County Jail. Before his charges were revealed, his charge was "courtesy housing for another agency". However, it wouldn't take long for his charges to be revealed.

After hours of silence, Clark resurfaced on Discord with concerning messages. He shared that he had been fired from his job for being, quote, "too drunk." Additionally, he was contacted by Bob Proctor, Daniel's mentor, about him allegedly getting into a fight while being held. This was a revelation nobody knew, as it was thought that since the [[Christmas Day Meltdown]], Bob had officially cut ties with Daniel, especially after telling the police that he wanted absolutely no contact with Daniel.   

After this occured, Clark officially stopped managing Daniel. In his final calls to him, he admit to Daniel that everything he had done was fake, and that he would cease contacting him as he'd done more bad for his life than good. Most notably, Clark states that due to him managing Daniel, he had lost multiple job opportunities.

On May 2nd, Flexburger<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5DAIS-Dv8eY</ref> uploaded a call between Clark and Daniel, although it is likely that the call took place sometime during the 1st, due to a previous leaking of the audio.<ref>https://www.reddit.com/r/Daniellarson/comments/1ci5r01/update_its_most_likely_all_over_folks/</ref> Portions of the audio are removed by a robotic voice saying "Property of Larsonleak".  

Daniel starts by stating that the police are looking into Bob's financial situation under the suspicion Bob is committing fraud, although this is most likely a lie. Daniel then informs Clark that he has Federal court on Monday, May the 5th, and has acquired a public defender. He later elaborates that he has been deemed a flight risk, and the judge said that he is one step away from acting on these threats. Daniel drops a bombshell that the [[DDRC]] building, a service for people with developmental disabilities that had served Daniel in the past, had to be evacuated because of his bomb threats he had made.   

From a video posted by [[Larsonleak|Larsonleak raw]] on the 12th of May 2024 featuring [[Kusari]], a phone call from the 6th of May 2024 was leaked where Clark had revealed everything to Daniel.  

This occurred after management, as well as Clark, were interrogated by the police due to their involvement with Daniel. Daniel called Clark for the last time on May 9, 2024. Clark reluctantly agreed to do this after members convinced him to.

On the 10th of May, right before Daniel's court hearing, documents were found that detailed Daniel's public defender, Jared, making a motion for Daniel's immediate release. Ironically enough, according to a detention order signed by U.S. Magistrate Judge Norman Reid Neureiter, Daniel requested to be released just a day before this on May 9th. Daniel appeared in court for an arraignment on May 10, 2024, and pleaded not guilty to his charges. <ref>https://www.reddit.com/r/Daniellarson/comments/1covzvr/daniel_will_not_be_getting_out_currently/</ref> Due to this, Daniel, of course, was not let out out jail. Daniel was given a new trial date, set to June 15th, which was stated in the Order of Detention following the trial.  According to Bob, Daniel stated that, "nothing was accomplished" following the hearings conclusion.
