After the stream ended, Goated Mines would reach out to Expo Productions, asking if they knew where Daniel was, as well as expressing concern for the safety of Music. He was informed that Daniel was last seen at Union Station, and that the police were contacted about the situation. As soon as Daniel was found, multiple people immediately contacted Animal Control and informed them of Daniel's location and abusive history. Animal Control said they would send someone to the area. As the live stream came to a close, Daniel announced that he was going to Starbucks. This caused Animal Control to miss their window of opportunity to intervene.   

Before ending the stream, Daniel mentioned that he was going to go live again in around half an hour. Members of both the subreddit and Discord waited for him to go live once more before calling again, as to not make Animal Control suspicious. Despite quickly locating the Starbucks Daniel was at, he was no longer there when they arrived. While Daniel was at Starbucks, he posted a few videos of him giving Music a heartbreakingly small amount of water in what was later discovered to be a bowl made for cats and puppies.   

Before heading back to Union Station, Daniel took a video of himself and Music in a car, where it was clear that Music was tired and anxious.  Despite Expo Productions' positive interactions with Daniel, they reportedly called the police after having been informed of the situation. However, the police were unable to intervene due to Daniel boarding a train soon after.   

Daniel is [[Daniel Larson's health|not fit to take care of himself]], let alone a dog. While Daniel had Music, he demonstrated multiple times why he was unfit to care for her, and why he should not have had a dog in the first place.

Daniel cited his reason for adopting Music as wanting her to act “as a guard dog”, believing she was trained as such and would protect him from "danger". It also must be noted that Daniel frequently misgendered the dog, referring to Zola as a male. While this may seem like a minor error, a dog's gender is very important information, especially if Zola were to receive shots or any significant medical treatment.<ref>https://www.youtube.com/live/k5rBVbJmEd4?feature=share</ref> This further shows Daniel's lack of understanding and preparedness in caring for a pet.

Additionally, Music was severely underfed, Daniel providing her only extremely small amounts of food and water. In a YouTube comment published on July 10th, Daniel noted that Music was not an, "...extreme cuddle bug," referencing the dog's reluctance to touch or be near him.  

On July 10, 2023, Daniel purchased a small water bowl for $4.<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=66iTatXaXJQ</ref> When the members of the subreddit dug further, they uncovered that the bowl Daniel had purchased was designed for cats, which was grossly insufficient for a dog of Zola's size.<ref>https://www.reddit.com/r/Daniellarson/comments/14x5y1m/i_found_the_water_bowl_that_daniel_bought_for/</ref>  The only water Daniel had gotten for Music consisted of small cups of water from various fast food chains, such as Starbucks and McDonald's, which is nowhere near enough water for a dog as big as an adult German Shepherd. This is also factoring in that Daniel claimed to only give her water every 2 hours, which most likely dehydrated her, coupled with the hotness in the summer months.

Daniel failed to provide adequate food for Music several times. While Daniel claimed to have had a bag of dry food for her, a likely truth since the Humane Society typically provides food for adopted animal, he also claimed that Music refused to eat it. In every video of Music that Daniel had posted, she was seen audibly whimpering with her ears down, visibly stressed. This distress was evident as Music seemed consistently anxious and unsettled.  

In a YouTube comment, made on July 11th, Daniel detailed the food he had given to Music, even contemplating giving Music nachos as he thought it "would help". However, nachos may contain ingredients like jalapeños and onions, which are known to be extremely harmful to dogs, and potentially fatal.  

A little over an hour later, at 11:49AM, Ox posted again, saying that he was unable to locate Daniel and was calling off his search for him, as he had to return to LA. The Reddit user posted a couple of additional posts attempting to locate Daniel and an 'En Route' post with a picture of a Longmont road sign at around 1:38PM.<ref>[https://old.reddit.com/r/Daniellarson/comments/14w3xpa/en_route/ https://reddit.com/r/Daniellarson/comments/14w3xpa/en_route/]</ref> After Ox's 'Dan is gone' post, they made a final update at 2:52 PM, admitting that they had missed Daniel and hoped that someone else might be able to confront him in Denver.

On the same day, Goated Mines made a post on the subreddit discussing Longmont Humane Society’s response to him. Unfortunately, archival of this post is sparse, and it is most likely lost.  

The team spent two days locating and pinpointing Daniel's meticulously tracking Daniel's movements, from finding a bridge that he had filmed a music video at to the park he had spent the night. Ultimately, Daniel's love for nachos would be his downfall, as the restaurant he was staying at would be pinpointed and tracked before he could leave.   

On July 11, 2023, WeenWeenmusic, also known as Ween (not to be confused with the [https://sonichu.com/cwcki/Weening term used for individuals who fail at trolling)], a member of the Ceel Team 6 Discord server, successfully rescued Music. Ween located the restaurant Daniel was loitering at and approached Daniel, pretending to be a vet who needed to check on Music’s well-being. After obtaining permission from Daniel, Ween discreetly walked away with Music and put her in their car. Soon after the rescue, Ween started a voice call in the Ceel Team 6 Discord server. where it was revealed that Music had Giardia, a parasite that passes through stool.<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5armsXYpvq4 (Timestamp 28:25-31:22)</ref> Soon after the call, Goated Mines posted an image of Music on Reddit with the caption, "MUSIC IS SAFE."<ref>https://www.reddit.com/r/Daniellarson/comments/14ww7cu/music_is_safe/</ref> After requests for more proof, she later posted a video of Music.<ref>https://www.reddit.com/r/Daniellarson/comments/14wx26n/music_rescued_more_proof/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3</ref>  

Goated Mines posted another update stating that Zola (Music) was on her way back to Longmont with one of the animal caretakers.<ref>https://www.reddit.com/r/Daniellarson/comments/14x4ll1/zola_is_en_route_back_to_longmont_with_one_of_the/</ref> This post was followed by another post once she arrived.<ref>https://www.reddit.com/r/Daniellarson/comments/14x6r9g/zola_has_made_it_to_the_shelter/</ref> Under this post, a subreddit member questioned if Daniel could walk into the shelter and ask for Zola to be returned to him. Daniel's intense reaction to Music being taken led to Daniel having a violent outburst. In a bizarre sequence, he entered a Walmart and began destroying several stands of merchandise, and even attempted to hijack a bus full of senior citizens. This prompted customers to restrain him until the police arrived. Afterwards, Daniel was taken into police custody and questioned about his actions. It is assumed that he did not face any charges during this initial arrest.
