: Hello, we have been hesitant about assigning any roles beyond the automated "auto confirmed" role in the past. Given our relatively hands-off approach over the past couple of months, we are now more open to this idea. We believe the largely flat structure of the wiki has contributed to its success and relatively high quality, and we wish to avoid the potential for misuse of elevated privileges. I propose holding a vote on this talk pages. We will not be adding any additional roles beyond those listed here [https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:User_rights_and_groups] and no one will gain access to any infrastructure, including plugins. Also getting these roles does not grant you any more say than any other user, just allows people to clean up what a normal user can only revert / edit away.
