On September 2, 2022, within two days of moving in, Daniel caused significant property damage during a series of meltdowns, including punching several holes in the walls and breaking a large window, cutting his finger trying to clear it after. <ref>https://www.reddit.com/r/Daniellarson/comments/x4dhcx/cut_his_finger_trying_to_clear_the_window_he_broke/</ref> Daniel later claimed that trolls were “responsible” for the holes. He reportedly went on to further damage the bedroom by tearing out sections of the wall and breaking the same window a second time after it had been repaired on October 5. <ref>https://ghostarchive.org/varchive/Ch_vndiKTmw</ref> The window was then boarded up with plywood, and it is believed that many of Daniel’s personal belongings from the initial move-in were left behind.
