+Prior to the incident, u/Puzzleheaded-Yak8588 on Reddit posts multiple video  recordings<ref>[https://www.reddit.com/user/Puzzleheaded-Yak8588/ recording]</ref> of himself harassing Daniel, beginning at a Restaurant. After this, he follows and chases Daniel throughout a store. Finally, he antagonizes Daniel until Daniel is visibly upset and apparently calls the police. This is where the video call where most of the incident was captured begins.
 According to Daniel, these teenagers sent him death threats at multiple locations before showing up at the Bodega.
