Daniel was arrested for a federal warrant on all the threats he made from various meltdowns, all of which were investigated by [[Daniel MacDougall]] starting in the summer of 2023. At the time of his arrest, he was booked into the Jefferson County Detention Facility, and was ineligible for bail, possibly indicating felony charges. As the charges were more severe than any other charges he had, this commenced the [[Second Jail Arc]]. The charges were revealed later and he was transferred to FCI Englewood the next month, where he was found incompetent to stand trial. It was revealed that he was charged with seven counts of uttering threats. He was transferred out of FCI Englewood on December 10, 2024 to two facilities in Oklahoma and on December 27, 2024, was transferred to MCFP Springfield received multiple mental health evaluations and competency restorations. He was found incompetent each time, and was transferred back to FCI Englewood on January 16, 2026. Later, he took a plea deal with the government in March 2026 and pleaded guilty in April 2026 to the charge which detailed him threatening MacDougall, earning him a probable sentence of 27-33 months in prison, a $10,000 - $95,000 fine, and 1 to 3 years of supervised release.
