On July 9th, 2023, Daniel adopted a dog named Music from [https://www.longmonthumane.org Longmont Humane Society] in Longmont, Colorado. Daniel cited his reason for adopting Music was for her to act “As a guard dog”, seemingly believing that Music was a trained guard dog and that she would protect him from harm. Daniel also frequently misgendered Music, sometimes accidentally referring to her as a male, further showing how Daniel was possibly unfit to care for her. <ref>https://www.youtube.com/live/k5rBVbJmEd4?feature=share</ref> The announcement from Daniel confirming Music’s adoption by him sparked outrage in the subreddit, with many users demanding the dog to be back in the hands of the shelter due to his inability to financially support himself, let alone an animal.
