Daniel Larson: Difference between revisions

Daniel would consider himself a celebrity, but he hasn't sold a multi-platinum album, nor has he been awarded with an Oscar. Despite this, he can still be considered a niche internet microcelebrity, having a following of "fans" who watch his antics.

Daniel Robert Larson was born on November 15, 1998, in Lancaster, California, to his parents [[Elisabeth Shimer|Elisabeth Lee Shimer]] and [[Travis Larson|James Travis Larson]]. Tragically, he had two younger twin sisters who passed away shortly after birth for unknown reasons, and had a half-sister named Aurora.  

Not much is known about his young childhood, but it is known he spent a lot of time with his grandmother [[Nancy Shimer]]. She was known to be enabling of Daniel's bad habits, Daniel's father telling of a story when Daniel painted on his grandmother's walls, and instead of punishing him, she instead chose to give him M&M's.

In the center, Daniel was [[Daniel Larson's health|diagnosed with ADHD, autism, bipolar disorder, and an intellectual disorder]]. It's possible and constantly speculated that he has more disorders as, in the words of his father, Daniel has a "laundry list" of mental issues. It is also presumed that his neglectful parents have left him with a great deal of childhood trauma, which may exacerbate his already chaotic behavior. There are also signs of Fetal alcohol syndrome, meaning his mother likely consumed alcohol during her pregnancy.  

In July of 2019, when Daniel was 20, Nancy passed away from cancer. Before her death, she sent Daniel to a state-run group home program for the disabled, where he remained for about two years before alternating between living with other individuals and [[Homeless Arc|living on the streets]]. Daniel's mental health began to deteriorate significantly due to a confluence of challenging circumstances: living on the streets, the geographical distance from his close family residing in a different state, enduring considerable hardship, and facing limited access to mental healthcare.

It would be sometime in March of 2020 that Daniel would start using social media, launching the account [[Social Media Accounts|@daniellars20]] on [[TikTok]], him first posing a video of him doing various things. He would then make the @daniellarsonfans account, where Daniel would start to gain a following rather quickly due to his odd looks and behavior, his first video to gain attention being a video named "Good night everyone," where he stiltedly wishes his fans good luck while his phone buzzes on in the background.

Daniel would begin posting increasingly popular videos on his various TikTok pages in May of 2020, notably during the George Floyd protests/riots which he believed were led by his fans. His posts drew the attention of trolls, who would become increasingly aggressive in their methods over time. What started off as simple annoyances, such as spamming comments, would soon turn into harassment as some trolls would go as far as to call Daniel's cell phone. However a few trolls in particular would take advantage of Daniel's gullible nature in order to manipulate (or in rarer cases help) him. In early 2020, signs of Daniel being manipulated by [[Management|managers]] quite apparent in his Tiktok videos. One such video is of him claiming to be a model for "Southwest Models and Talent Agency."<ref>https://www.tiktok.com/@larsonater/video/7036213811392679174</ref>

The leaking of his Pinterest account made Daniel go into full lockdown. He not only disabled comments, but he also deleted or set to private several of his videos, especially ones about Grace VanderWaal. Following this brief period of heightened paranoia, Daniel's posts would return to normal. However, the leaking of his Pinterest account would make certain actions of his particularly alarming, such as several instances of him duetting very young girls on TikTok.<ref>https://www.tiktok.com/@moe_lesterrecords/video/6905066197822360838</ref> Yet despite his usual posts returning, he then entered a feud with (trolls impersonating) The Diligent Broadcast and Roach Records. In posts regarding the feud he threatened to sue them for ganging up on him and faking the Pinterest account. Following many subsequent schizo-posts, Daniel would take a brief respite from TikTok beginning on December 20, 2020, and lasting all the way up to March of 2021.

Daniel embarked on his first distinct "[[Glossary|Arc]]," known as [[The Fog|the Fog arc]]. Following the instructions of his management, he covered his camera with tape, resulting in a hazy, fog-like visual effect over his recordings for several months. During this period, he shared various videos featuring this unique visual style. One of the most memorable videos he posted was on TikTok, in which he said, "Rest in Peace George Floyd, the police should be terminated."<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qpy-ee9F-AA&list=PLru94IaNy8vbgMzjtIiLFnyQ2FwBPCtQL&index=22</ref> In addition to these more serious videos, Daniel continued his typical schizo-posting, with videos such as him rubbing his nipples to [[Darci Lynne]] and Grace, and apologizing to "Penus Ajun Grill" over his viewers torching it in a George Floyd riots, and a three-minute altercation with his caretaker, Jonas.

Daniel took the midnight train to California on August 20, 2021 in a failed attempt to meet his father, [[Travis Larson]], who in fact was merely a troll. As a result of his unannounced departure, Daniel was dropped from his disability program, thus leaving him almost entirely dependent upon Bob and the kindness of strangers. Some highlights of Daniel's brief stay in the golden state include threatening Grace VanderWaal's boyfriend, shaving himself a mohawk, and accidentally ending up in Emeryville instead of Los Angeles.

Daniel would go silent for a week after his TikTok account [[@daniellarsoninsocal]], made in preparation of him going to California, was banned. upon his return, Daniel declared his hatred for [[The Police|the police]] and made a video of him twerking while mouthing off about how bad they are. In another video in which Daniel is visablly inebriated he exclaimed that he, "...wants there to be riots."<ref>https://www.tiktok.com/@averagelarsonian/video/7101648226318585130</ref>

Following an October of more Grace Posting and a stay at a Colorado mental hospital, November 2021 would start off with the introduction the fictitious Jew [[Goldberg Shacklestein]] by Daniel's current manager, [[Samantha]] (whose actual name was Goldberg Shekelstein but was mispronounced due to Daniel's [[Speech Impediment|speech impediment]]). According to Daniel, Shacklestein was the supposed leader of the New York mafia and was depicted as a threatening figure.
