Daniel Robert Larson was born on November 15, 1998<ref name=":2" /> in Lancaster, California, to his parents [[Elisabeth Shimer|Elisabeth Lee Shimer]] and [[Travis Larson|James Travis Larson]], and with a half-sister named Aurora from his father's side of the family. There is speculation from people in the Daniel Larson community and claims from his mom<ref name=":4">[[:File:Elisabeth Final Comment.png|File:Elisabeth Final Comment.png]]</ref><ref name=":3" /> that Daniel, even from a young age, displayed signs of disabilities such as Autism and Schizophrenia. Looking at Daniel Larson's facial features, such as a thin and flat upper lip and a small eye opening, which are signs of FASD,<ref>https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/15677-fetal-alcohol-syndrome</ref> suggesting he has Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, meaning his mother likely consumed alcohol during her pregnancy. However, all of the claims are unproven and probably will not be due to HIPPA protection laws, meaning that Daniel would have to get a diagnosis and publically confirm himself he was diagnosed with these. <gallery>

He was then put in various foster homes<ref name=":1" /> before his grandmother, [[Nancy Shimer]], took legal guardianship of him. Despite her kinder treatment of Daniel, Nancy was known to be enabling of his bad habits, such as her rewarding him M&M's after he painted on her house's walls rather than punishing him, according to Daniel's father, and was an enabler, according to his mother.<ref name=":4" /> Nancy would enroll Daniel in the [[Tennyson Center|Tennyson Center for Children]], a center for rehabilitating and assisting children with intellectual disabilities due to Daniel facing troubles. Daniel would graduate from Sobesky Academy, his high school, at the age of ~19 in 2018, which is slightly late. Sobesky Academy opened in 2016, so the high school he went to before is currently unknown. The fact that hes around 19 at this point but looks 14 really shows how likely it is that he might have been born with fetal alcohol syndrome, considering it is known to cause slow childhood development. <gallery>

In July 2019,<ref>https://www.mountainviewcemetery.org/obituaries/obituary-listings?obId=6501996</ref> Nancy passed away from cancer when Daniel was 21 according to Daniel.<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wyZ_iYN19sY</ref> Before her death, she sent Daniel to a state-run group home program for the disabled,{{Citation Needed}} where he remained for about two years{{Citation Needed}} before alternating between living with other individuals and [[Homeless Arc|living on the streets]]. Daniel's mental health began to deteriorate significantly due to a confluence of challenging circumstances. These circumstances include living on the streets, geographical isolation from family/friends, and limited access to mental healthcare.
