Los Angeles

A couple of Community posts from December 10.

In late 2022, Immediately following the December 10th Incident, Bob purchased a ticket for Daniel to be flown to Los Angeles, California on the last flight out of Colorado Springs that day. It was heavily speculated by the community that he would be institutionalized in California due to the 5150 laws, allowing for the involuntary psychiatric hold of individuals deemed a danger to themselves or others for up to 72 hours. Little information was given following his arrival. When Daniel first arrived in Los Angeles, he had no luggage or belongings.

In LA, Daniel would be spotted at a strip club on the 6th of January, despite claiming multiple times to not have any money. Daniel also visited Scientology centers, and considered enrolling in college. According to Oxis, Daniel, post-Scientology center visit, was convinced that the Illuminati was after him.

In some YouTube community posts from this time, he would also claim that he wanted to drop his disability services and that he had no control over his life, while claiming the next day that being in California meant "[he could] be in control of [his] own life".^{[citation needed]} On December 17, 2022, Daniel would successfully host a fan meetup, having six people visit him on Hollywood Boulevard.^{[citation needed]}

During his stay in California, he was speculated to have spent at least 125 days with the same clothing on. This, paired with no showers & frequently sleeping in porta-potties and garages, was a catalyst for Daniel eventually contracting scabies. Scabies is a disease where mites burrow deep in your skin and cause intense itching, typically contracted when one has poor hygiene. Daniel often roughly scratched his skin to relieve the itching, but his dirty fingernails only made the situation worse. Finally, Daniel went to the emergency room, where he was officially diagnosed with Scabies. He was prescribed an $80 lotion, but instead used his money to buy stocks and desserts at fancy restaurants.^{[citation needed]}

Who was in Paris?

The second stop of the Travel Arc began when Daniel left Palmdale, California, on February 13, 2023, going on a bus to Las Vegas, Nevada.

His reasoning for going to Las Vegas was to gain, "...more popularity," and hoped to win enough money to rent a $3,000 dollar apartment in Beverly Hills, California.^{[citation needed]} Many fans speculated that he would get arrested due to the police in Las Vegas being more strict than in California due to the city's notoriously high crime rate.

Daniel arrived in Las Vegas on the night of February 13, 2023; posting a selfie in front of the Eiffel Tower replica as well as a video of him wandering the Strip.

As soon as Daniel arrived in Las Vegas, he met a group of people whom he claimed to be his new friends. On his TikTok account, @daniellarsonalone, he posted videos of him and his new friends doing various activities with each other. Throughout the day, Daniel recorded and posted numerous videos, including his reaction to accidentally donating 40 cents to "fucking children's hospital", which subsequently went viral.

During the night of Valentines Day, one of the videos Daniel posted involved him approaching a drunken couple. When the female accidentally dropped her coin purse, resulting in coins spilling out on the ground, Daniel helped pick it up and handed the purse back to the young woman. He then attempted to convince the inebriated couple to pay for a room for him to stay the night in. This did not succeed. He eventually, "...lost them," and made multiple videos asking them to meet him in multiple places, assuming they were even watching him at all. It can be inferred that they abandoned him once he reached the Mandalay Bay.

He wandered through various casinos, including Mandalay Bay and Circus Circus, interacting with fans and seeking donations.^{[citation needed]} Despite attempting to search for his new friends by visiting places like the Adventure Dome, Rainforest Cafe, and Gordon Ramsay's Hell's Kitchen, all restaurants and places Daniel obviously could not afford. As such, he continued to request financial help. His phone battery was low, and he faced pressures from his online popularity, promising to go live later once settled in a motel.^{[citation needed]}

The Second Dark Age

Following a very eventful February 15 morning, Daniel posted a TikTok around 6:00 PM, stating that if he was able to get a motel room that night, he would do a two-hour livestream. However, this livestream never ended up happening, as Daniel would completely fall off the grid. The Daniel Larson community faced a tense week, with no sign of Daniel in over seven days, marking the second major blackout concerning Daniel Larson in over two years.

Users on r/Daniellarson began to speculate that Daniel Larson had been placed into a psychiatric hold. Others speculated he was living in the storm drains under the Las Vegas strip, becoming a "mole", where there was no cell service or place to charge his phone.

Around February 18, users of r/Daniellarson would raid the r/LasVegas subreddit, after he went missing, posting Daniel-related topics such as missing posters of Daniel. Other content posted was the Toothbrush Incident video, these posts were quickly removed by r/LasVegas mods. This caused the moderators of r/Daniellarson to close the subreddit "until further notice," fearing potential banning of the subreddit. In a post made by u/ArthurDentonWelch, it was confirmed that anyone who posted in the Las Vegas subreddit from that moment forward would be permanently banned from r/daniellarson.

Potential sightings

While Daniel was missing, there were some claims of sightings and interactions with varying degrees of validity. Daniel's sighting almost immediately shut down all other theories regarding his situation.

Arizona

Daniel arrived in Phoenix, Arizona on March 18, 2023, where he posted videos thanking viewers for donations, rapping about his travels, and announcing he had stopped taking his medication; he then traveled to Tucson the next day, interacting with fans and requesting more funds for his next destination, El Paso, but changed his plans due to death threats, ultimately being located by fans in Benson, Arizona.

Texas

Daniel's journey from March 22nd to March 31st involved getting on the wrong bus to El Paso, where he faced threats from a troll named "Si," a police encounter in a restaurant, numerous relocations due to troll activity, and ended up in Houston, where he faced further harassment, eventually leading to a series of distressing events and police interactions before leaving for San Antonio and later Houston.

New York

Daniel's chaotic venture to New York City involved purchasing a plane ticket with the help of his managers, meeting fans, dealing with trolls, facing harassment, and getting banned from TikTok. Most importantly, he met up with World of T-Shirts after his online feud escalated. Daniel would be in New York from April 3 to May 20.

Return home

On May 20, 2023, months after first having begun his travel arc, Daniel finally secured a plane ride out of New York City. This came after being deceived multiple times with false promises of transportation to various destinations across America, including a supposedly all-expenses-paid trip to Disney World courtesy of, "Justin Bieber." Daniel documented the flight with TikTok slideshows and also shared it with Reddit user scnyc who captured some photos of him. Upon landing in Denver, Colorado, he shared a video in which he gave a heart-felt, "Finally... I'm back home," blowing a kiss to the camera. Later that night, Daniel posted photos of some drinks, claiming to be enjoying dinner with Bob at Olive Garden. This is where the Travel Arc ends, and the Cameo Arc officially begins just days after.
