Help:Profile subpages
Related pages can cover any subject connected to a profile: a project, location, recurring topic, event, background information, or another relevant subject. Incident reports are one possible use. Each page has its own edit history and discussion page.
Create a related page
- Open a profile's Related pages tab, or choose Create a page in the sidebar and select Related page.
- Select the related profile and enter just the topic's title, without the person's name or slashes.
- Leave the format as Related page for a general article. Incident report and Research notes are optional starters.
- Choose Start editing. Write an introduction, add any headings that suit your topic, and cite sources.
- Preview the page, enter an edit summary, and save.
General related pages do not require report sections. The visual editor provides normal formatting, headings, links, images, and citations. Use source editor is available if you prefer wikitext. Nothing is published until you save in the editor. Confirmed editors can create pages; normal page protection applies.
How pages are organized

| Incident report (optional) | Person/Incidents/Report title
|
| Research notes (optional) | Person/Research/Topic

The directory finds related pages automatically. Each subpage links back to its profile. Categories are added from the page's location. Use the normal Move tool to rename a page or change its location; the directory follows its new name.
Add another profile
Open Create a page, choose Person profile, enter the person's name, and choose Start editing. The starter adds [[Category:Profiles]] for you. This enables the profile's Related pages tool. The main page is a directory and cannot be a profile.
Timelines
A profile's timeline remains at Person/Timeline. Timelines are separate from the related-page directory. Related pages can have their own timelines too. The main page cannot have a timeline.
Choose an article's Timeline tab, then Add event. Enter a title and description, and use the year, month, and day fields for as much of the date as you know. Leave all three blank for an unknown date. The description has a compact visual editor with bold, italic, links, and lists. Use the toolbar or the usual keyboard shortcuts; no wiki markup is needed. Advanced editors can switch to Source. Preview lets you check the result without saving.
Use Add another source to attach multiple source links to the same event (up to 20). Each link can be removed separately, and duplicate links are removed automatically. Existing single-source events keep their links when edited.
Choose Edit beside an event to update it. More contains Move to trash; Undo brings it back immediately, and the Trash view lets you restore it later. Confirmed editors can edit and restore events. Administrators manage event locks. Use the search and order controls to find events in longer timelines.
