Film-making: Difference between revisions

* '''Abhorrent camera quality'''; it's not uncommon for many up and coming film-makers to not have the most up-to-date equipment but this is usually something that eventually gets improved upon as the producer learns more and more about the craft. Since Cyraxx has no money, and a lack of actual drive to see these things through, it comes as no surprise that this wasn't rectified.

* '''Poor acting'''; it goes without saying that you can't have a good film without a solid cast to translate the script into something memorable. Unfortunately, Cyraxx's acting resembles something more out of a comedy skit than something that's supposed to induce a sense of dread. He has an unbreakable habit of staring directly into the camera, and can't do anything without immediately peeking back at the lenses. Making it at best, a 4th-wall break, and at worst, that Chance is so pre-occupied with getting the perfect shot that he can't help but break the audience's suspension of disbelief.

* '''No Cinematography'''; Even if the camera's quality was 4K, and his acting was brilliant, the lack of actual cinematography often leaves the viewer detached from anything that's going on screen. A lot of the shots in Chance's films are either static, or shot in a "vlog-style" which just looks lazy if not properly setup. People usually have their friends or relatives help them film scenes which takes a bit of extra camera work, but not the case with Chance as he has no friends.  

Before the film officially released 6 days later, Chance would upload a [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wi7Qj8JN9oE video] stating that he was on the "set" for his latest movie, "The Darkness" while recording said video in his kitchen. One of the scenes of which wasn't even in the actual film.  [[File:Dark Star Films - The Darkness On Set - Day 1 .png|left|thumb|264x264px|Oscar-worthy [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=810G91n-5Lk performance.]]]The film opens up with Chance using a Spirit box app with a screen-recorder watermark at the bottom left. We cut back to the present day when Chance wakes up on his couch, feeling confused he starts to slowly move his hands while his eyes are looking at what's behind the camera, after a full 1 minute and 30 seconds of him doing nothing. He gets up and the camera style changes to that of a vlog as Chance walks to the kitchen.

It then cuts to Chance opening a cabinet before speaking to the viewers directly, which is bizarre because if there isn't a camera, then Chance (the character) is just talking to himself for no good reason, and if there ''is'' a camera - then Chance looks even more deranged - because why would you place one behind the cabinet, and leave it running?

Chance then looks around as though he heard a sound even though nothing can be heard. And an extremely loud soundbite from Michael Katana's "Help Me" plays. Chance then expresses his concern as the scene ends with him physically reaching for the "Stop Record" button on his camera, another example of Cyraxx's brilliant editing.

Chance then gets nightmares of himself being "possessed" and wakes up in a panic, after nearly two minutes of just looking distraught, he decides to enter the bathroom. The "Force of Darkness" forces him to choke himself, and what plays after is a stolen video of some woman acting as though she's been possessed as well. Followed by three minutes of black screen.
