The Jonas Incident was one of the earliest known Daniel Larson incidents, taking place on August 14, 2021, during the Hype House Arc. Daniel got into an altercation with his care provider, Jonas, after he tried to take his phone away. Daniel then had a meltdown, screaming and accusing Jonas of assault. [1]
Background
In July 2021, Daniel moved into a new disability housing arrangement, where he was placed under the supervision of a caretaker named Jonas. Daniel lived in a pink-colored bedroom in the house that he had already destroyed at the time of this incident. He held a grudge against Jonas for unknown reasons and frequently fought with him. After about a month of living together, Jonas attempted to confiscate Daniel's phone, possibly due to Daniel's excessive use of it. This action triggered a severe meltdown from Daniel, where he screamed at Jonas and accused him of assault, though no such assault was captured on video. Daniel remained cowering on the floor, crying and justifying his own actions as "self-defense." Miranda called 911 as the situation escalated and Daniel demanded that Jonas call his case manager, Ian, as he began to hit himself. It is unknown what happened after this incident.

Daniel: *crying, high pitched-voice * Why did you try to hit me? Jonas: *comes closer to Daniel and puts a hand up* Don't take a video. Daniel: *cowering* NO! WOAH!!! GET OFF ME! GET OFF ME!!! IF YOU TRY TO HIT ME ONE MORE TIME BITCH!!! *Jonas looks in disbelief*I have it all on recording! You tried to hit me, I'm on the floor! I'm doing nothing to you! I'm doing nothing to you, you tried to hit me! *sobs * Jonas: What? Daniel, unintelligible in the same place! Daniel: *sobs * I just did self-defense! I'm on the floor! I didn't do anything, I just did self-defense! I even have it- I even have it on film, with you to- like I don't even know anymore, and I'm afraid of you! Like I didn't do anything to you, you just tried to grab me! Like, why did you raise your fist? I was just trying to get outside! *Miranda speaks indistinctly as Jonas looks exhausted * Like why did you try to grab me? Why did you try to hit me? Miranda: He's hitting himself. Daniel: Call Ian! Tell Ian to call me. *sobs * Tell Ian to call me… *starts hitting himself * Jonas: Have a seat, don't hit yourself! Daniel: Well, why did you try to grab me?! *sobs * Why did you try to grab meeee!? Miranda: I don't know who he's talking to on the phone… Daniel: *tries to hit Jonas * Why did you try to grab me- STOP!!! STOP!!! Jonas: Stop hitting yourself! Daniel: Stop coming near me!! At this point, if you grab me, if you do anything to me because I'm doing nothing. All I'm doing is sitting here, I will attack you for self-defense, because that's legal. *sobs * Like, I'm doing nothing to you. *gets up and walks around Jonas * Can you call Ian? Miranda: *gives numbers to 911 * Daniel: *sobs * Call Ian. |
