On January 10 2026, John went live reviewing the second half of the 2025 Year of the Goblin and ended the stream by announcing that he was going to "gracefully step aside" from covering the goblin<ref>https://youtu.be/vuZ-h-W7q1U?t=19581</ref>, stating that he felt now was a good time to step away as he feels that the community had been sufficiently revitalised in order to deal with the goblin.
