Learn how to use the forms available on the Cyraxx Wiki to add, edit, manage, and delete timeline and news events. It is important to use these forms instead of editing the timeline page directly, as direct edits will be overridden the next time someone uses the form.

Adding a New Event

To add a new event to the timeline and news block, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Add Event Form: Navigate to the Add Event Form.

2. Fill in the Date: Enter the date of the event in the format YYYY-MM-DD. For unknown dates, use the following formats:

Unknown Day: YYYY-MM-unknown or YYYY-MM-00
Unknown Month: YYYY-unknown or YYYY-00-00
Unknown Date: 0000-00-00 or unknown

3. Enter the Event Title: Provide a concise title for the event. Use past tense, for example:

"Cyraxx uploaded a video accusing Marty of not fighting fair."

You can include links using the following formats:

Internal Links: 
[[PageName]] or [[PageName|LinkTitle]]

External Links: 
[URL] or [URL|LinkTitle] / [URL LinkTitle]

4. Describe the Event: Optionally, add a detailed description of the event.

5. Submit the Form: Click the "Submit" button to add the event.

Editing an Event

To edit an existing event:

1. Go to the Edit Event Form: Navigate to the Edit Event Form.

2. Select the Event to Edit: Choose the event you want to edit from the list.

3. Modify the Details: Update the date, title, and description as needed.

4. Submit the Form: Click the "Submit" button to save your changes.

Note: Locked events can't be edited by regular users, if there is an issue, contact the admin team via discord.

Deleting an Event

To delete an event:

1. Go to the Delete Event Form: Navigate to the Delete Event Form.

2. Select the Event to Delete: Choose the event you want to delete from the list.

3. Confirm Deletion: Confirm that you want to delete the event.

4. Submit the Form: Click the "Submit" button to delete the event.

Note: Locked events can't be deleted by regular users, if there is an issue, contact the admin team via discord.
