Chance James Finley Wilkins (born Patrick Smith, 20 September 1990), also known as Cyraxx, 43, DJ ShadowBlayde, Psyraxx, DJ Otaku, and way too many other aliases, is an infamous Lolcow and Horrorcow who has gained both notoriety and infamy for his freak-outs, escapades, and extremely controversial behavior.

Early life

Chance was born as the second child of Connie Lobdell and Ruple Smith in Kenai, Alaska, on September 20, 1990, under the name "Patrick Smith." From birth, Chance faced numerous health complications, including being born underweight, with only one kidney, an undeveloped lung, scoliosis, and various other health issues. These challenges were likely due to Chance being born prematurely, reportedly at just 26 weeks (6 months) into Connie's pregnancy, which would've been so early that he would have not yet developed melanin in his skin, leaving his skin somewhat transparent. These claims come from Cyraxx though, and should be taken with a grain of salt.

Exactly why he was born so prematurely is unclear. It's speculated that Chance may have FASD due to Connie allegedly using drugs and alcohol during pregnancy. However, Connie's stepfather recalls her not being a drinker,[1] and Chance does not exhibit many of the typical signs of FASD, such as a smooth upper lip. It's more likely that Chance's premature birth was due to other factors, such as genetic issues or the use of drugs other than alcohol which did not result in the typical signs of FASD.

Chance's brother, the couple's first child, was taken away by the state of Alaska[2] and Chance was taken away as soon as he was born.[3]

Regardless, the Alaskan authorities removed him from Connie's custody, who couldn't take care of him due to her disabilities, and entrusted him to his grandmother, Sally Arntzen. Sally relocated him to somewhere around Atlanta. Sally, who was then married to Gordon Wilkins, made the decision to change his name to Chance Wilkins soon after.[2]

At the age of four, his father Ruple was incarcerated for raping a 14-year-old girl on a bike path.

After moving to Atlanta, Chance was moved to Lake Wales, Florida,[2] when he was at most 10 years of age. He attended Roosevelt Academy,[4] and presumably around this time, he was in Cub Scouts.[5]

On Chance's 17th birthday in 2007,[6] Connie passed away in a house fire.

After Sally divorced Gordon due to the stress of adopting Chance,[1] she, Chance, and William (one of her sons from a previous marriage) moved to Akron, Ohio around 2008-2009, around when Cyraxx turned 18.

Chance started attending Garfield High when he moved to Akron. Information about Cyraxx's time in Garfield is extremely limited, with the only people giving much insight into it being Kat and Blind Billy, who were presumably his only friends. His friends led to him finding a passion for music and dancing, as Elspeth introduced him to artists like Linkin Park.

Cyraxx did poorly in school both due to his intellectual disabilities and presumably being picked on for his appearance. Despite this, he was never given any special education, never rode any short buses or took any special ed classes in school, although he was often given easier special assignments in school by his teacher.[Citation Needed]

At an unknown date, Cyraxx threw himself off of the roof of his school when he was dared to and broke his arm.[7] After recovering, he filed a false police report claiming he was actually pushed, which may have gotten him expelled. If Cyraxx's story of events was true, you would expect Cyraxx to be extremely angry about being almost murdered by being pushed off of a balcony, but he has said that he was actually glad for it as he believes that he was endowed with creative superpowers via savant syndrome, which gave him a newfound passion and talent in art, game development, film-making, and music.[Citation Needed]

On February 14th, 2012, an incident occurred involving Cyraxx and Sally on Valentine's Day. After she told him that he could not walk from Ohio to Kansas to live with someone who turned out to be a catfish, Chance ambushed her and choked her and punched her in the back. William intervened and Cyraxx fled the scene before being apprehended, and Sally chose not to press charges.

Another incident that occurred around that time was the Blind Billy incident. Cyraxx had a small group of friends, featuring Elspeth and Blind Billy who were all interesting in Dancing. Despite Billy being his friend, in 2013, Cyraxx raped Billy at his house.

Around 2014, Cyraxx was expelled from Garfield for reasons that remain mostly unclear. His Aunt[7] and Elspeth[Citation Needed] both claim that he was expelled for the previously mentioned false police reports while many members of the community claim it was because he was past the legal age limit for high school in Ohio which is 22,[8] Cyraxx being 23 at the time of his expulsion. The false police report is the most likely answer, as Cyraxx likely would've just been denied attendance next year due to the age limit, but this is still not fully proven.

On February 3rd, 2016 William passed away from cancer.[9]

Early Internet Presence

This outlines the time before he became a target of significant trolling.

2012

Chance opened his first known Youtube channel, Chance Wilkins, on April 2, 2012.[10] His first and only upload on this channel, which was made a few months after beating up Sally, was a skating music video called "Its So Delicious Demo DJ shadowBlad FT The Pozzezzed one"[11] on the 3rd of April, 2012. The music video isn't terrible, but was definitely carried by the other person featured in the video, who is presumably "the Pozzezzed One," as the Pozzezzed One would never make another appearance in his content.

Around this time, Chance adopted the name Cyraxx, which he became commonly known as. Both the names DJ ShadowBlayde and Cyraxx were stolen from an actual musician who signed him onto a label out of pity named Erik Scrubbalo, who had involvement with a label named "Killer Clown Sounds," which was managed by Juggalos. Cyraxx had also used several other aliases around that time too, including Viruz, Psyraxx, DK CUSTOMS/CUSTOMZ, and DJ Otaku,[2] most of which were Juggalo or Anime inspired.

Cyraxx's next known videos, which were uploaded months later in June, was a two-part personal vlog series titled "Inside the Shadow." The first part involved him talking about Killer Clown Sounds, his personal life, and complaining about Juggalos who are new to the fandom thinking they can barge in and instate "whatever rules they want."[12] The second part of the series was him doing a tour of his room and workspace in the basement.[13]

Something very noticeable in this series is how different Chance is in his attitude and overall ethos than how he is now. Cyraxx is much more thoughtful and respectful in the way he speaks compared to how he is now, and seems to be much more passionate about his life.

Cyraxx's first music video produced by himself was posted on July 1st[14][Earrape warning] which by all measures was drastically worse than his previous music video featuring guests.

A significant event occurred on July 5th, 2012, when Cyraxx uploaded his infamous "Chester Bennington Scream" video.[15] In this video, he aimed to beat Chester Bennington's record for the world's longest death metal scream. The video showcased Cyraxx's disheveled appearance as he emitted a loud, guttural sound showing off his crooked teeth. This would be the last known post Chance made in 2012.

2013

He and Heather would also announce their departure from the Juggalo lifestyle some time in 2013 over them not enjoying it.[16] This video was made presumably before when they threw Erik's dog tags into Summit Lake as they are wearing them in the video.

The year 2013 began with Cyraxx making a video with Heather apologizing to Erik[17] on February 28 for throwing his record label's dog tags into Lake Summit. Why they did this isn't explained, but Cyraxx claims that Sally told them to do it because they were angry over "something," possibly over Erik getting mad at them leaving the Juggalo lifestyle. Erik would presumably not pick Cyraxx back up onto his record label.

At some point in 2013, Cyraxx also made a video about a beef between him and a man named "Darren," who he was feuding with over him allegedly harassing a woman named "Lisa Johnson."[18]

The last dated activity from him was from the 1st of March, and would be him listening to classical music.[19] There are no other archived videos from this year. This year would also be Cyraxx's last year in high school before getting kicked out.

2014

2014 would start with William, Cyraxx's brother, dying and him uploading a memorial video.[9]

Chance made a strange post where he reposted a marine's poem in February 2014, as well as an untactful post using soldier's PTSD for shares on Facebook.

On the 6th of May, Cyraxx made a post about an apparent video game that he was developing called "Possession Pain" that was reminiscent of Call of Duty and Halo.[20] This was episode 1 of a series, but the other episodes were either never made or lost to time.

14 days after, he made another video criticizing zero tolerance laws.[21]

Candall Smith

See Candall Smith

In early 2019, Chance was introduced to a romantic interest named Candall Smith. Their relationship ended when Candall broke off contact with him after Cyraxx confessed his feelings to her. By January 2019, Candall began accusing Cyraxx of stalking, doxxing, and harassment. To escape Chance's persistent harassment, Candall faked her own death, to which Cyraxx quickly denied any involvement.[22]

Unwittingly, Chance had upset the Juggalo community, to which both Candall and Cyraxx belonged, and gave them a motive to troll him.

Early Trolling

Cyraxx would first start receiving a noticeable amount of flak from the Juggalo community for harassing Candall Smith to the point of "killing herself" (being then unaware she was faking her death), starting from at the latest estimate August of 2019.[23] This would start as mostly niche local drama in the Akron Juggalo scene, but would turn some of the first notable organized efforts to troll Cyraxx, starting some of his first sagas. Some of Cyraxx's classic trolls, such as Shmeckle Cat, Tyler New York, Prison Mike, JaymeNicole, and MusicBizMarty were introduced around this time.

MusicBizMarty Discovers Cyraxx

See Bender Boys Saga

In October of 2019, MusicBizMarty was introduced to Cyraxx by the Juggalo community (possibly a Juggalo named "TheBoyBlue91982") due to the drama with Candall Smith. Marty was at first just a spectator, mostly interacting with him through JaymeNicole's streams, until early November when Cyraxx's desperation to get signed onto a record label after presumably getting dropped by Bloodshot Records was noticed.

Marty and Brooklyn Menace[24] would contact Cyraxx as two record labels, Ram Ranch (owned by Marty) and Bender Boyz records (owned by Brooklyn), and competed over who could sign Cyraxx the first, with the Bender Boyz ultimately winning because Chance did not want to sign with Ram Ranch over them wanting to make merch that mocked him. Cyraxx uploaded a video of him gloating about getting signed some time in early November.[25] Almost immediately after this, Cyraxx would be dropped by the Bender Boyz after releasing one song[24] and had his contract "sold" to Ram Ranch which made Cyraxx rage out. Later, he would discover a merch shop run by Ram Ranch, which he cried over.[26] Trolls would then make a video imitating and mocking his reaction.[27]

Yung Foxx War

See Yung Foxx

On February 5th, 2020, Cyraxx made a diss track targeted towards Yung Foxx called "Foxx Hunt."[30] Why exactly Cyraxx did this is unclear but Yung Foxx is probably part of the Juggalo community who he was beefing with at the time.

The day after, Yung Foxx and Cyraxxx had rap battle on JaymeNicole's panel, and the two would go back and forth making responses to each other day-by-day. Cyraxx made a final diss track against Foxx the day after the panel, and on the 8th, Foxx made his first diss track back against Cyraxx.

Cyraxx would mysteriously disappear after that diss track was made and a mysterious man called "Shadow King," who is totally not Cyraxx in a costume with his voice pitched down, would make a video defending Cyraxx against the people attacking him.[31] People saw this as obviously fake, with Cyraxx's shitty voice changer breaking and exposing his voice at 4:15, and Cyraxx would begin denying being or even being associated with Shadow King,[32] and Yung Foxx began distancing himself from Cyraxx.

Golden Age Trolling

This is where Cyraxx starts to enter mainstream Lolcow-dom, beginning to have freakouts and enter into sagas on par with Lolcows like Chris Chan and Daniel Larson.

After the fight with Marty, Chance did actually manage to "leave" the internet for a period of time with the encouragement of Sally. During this period of time, he would only appear in calls with CVG. Cyraxx would only be spotted occasionally on Kick, but his freakouts on camera seemed to be over for now.

Cyraxx would return to YouTube in late May of 2023, but after his return, his escapades didn't carry the same energy as they did previously as the amount of new trolls coming in to troll Cyraxx and the creativity of the current trolls decreased.

Dimensional Merge

Influenced by his new buddy trolls Sneaky Jim and The Shadow Collective, Cyraxx started attempting to contact other lolcows.

Cyraxx first made cryptic videos on "a new era" and "the end of Cyraxx trolling," and then announced his involvement with his new trolls. They then influenced him to make a video[33] about Foodie Beauty, another lolcow, thanking her for making a video (which was immediately retracted) defending him, which compared Marty to Osama Bin Laden.

A second video[34] with absolutely horrific audio quality came about about Daniel Larson, where he pitied Daniel Larson (a fellow pedophile) for his homelessness. He also warned Daniel about the trolls and talked about being "almost assassinated" and getting "assaulted" by the trolls, and that all the trolls cared about is money and views. He told Daniel to report them to the police and get a protection order.
