Jake, sometimes referred to as Security Jake, was a former friend of Cyraxx, and one of the very few friends that he ever met in person.
Jake and Cyraxx were long suspected of having underlying romantic feelings for each other. This led to many rumors that the two were engaging in sexual relationships, or that Jake was taking Cyraxx out on dates and buying him gifts in exchange for sexual favors. While there is no conclusive evidence that the two ever engaged in explicitely sexual activities, their dynamic was often described as being overly extravagant and very physical for two supposedly platonic friends. According to Ed, Jake was forbidden from visiting 339 Lloyd Street at some point after Sally caught him and Cyraxx on the bedroom floor engaging in what Ed only described as "WWE wrestling, but it was weird", suggesting at either extremely inappropriate or even erotic behavior.
History
It is presumed that Jake and Cyraxx have met in high school. Jake was first mentionned in a 2018 video where Cyraxx basically "exposes" him for being a mere poseur in the Akron street racing scene[1]. Cyraxx claims that Jake was bragging about how his 1995 Dodge Ram could beat his roommate's (presumably referring to Ed) 2013 Ford F-150 in a race. This caused Cyraxx to essentially mock Jake for being such an amateur, parading as car guru by spewing automotive mumbo-jumbo without knowing what anything he says actually means. Jake then presumably lost patience with Cyraxx and called him out on the fact that he had never driven a real car before and only races in video games. This is most likely the reason why throughout the video, Cyraxx refers to Jake as his "ex-best friend".
Jake was first shown on camera in one of Cyraxx's vlogs filmed in October 2022[2], where the two go out to the junkyard in search of a rear bumper for Jake's truck. In this video, the two seems to have reconciled from their previous "spat", exchanging pleasantries and goofing off on the drive to the junkyard. Through this scavenging run, Cyraxx shows to be completely useless and insufferably annoying as he gawks at Jake struggling to unbolt the bumper off one of the wrecks. He then wanders off around the yard to show his audience how little he actually knows about cars, confusing a Chrysler 300 for a Bentley. Jake then concludes his day empty-handed, and with his pockets a little lighter after Cyraxx pestered him to buy overpriced snacks at the supermarket.

Cyraxx's newfound obsession of arguing with trolls would soon enough take a toll on the few friendships he had at the time. For Jake, Cyraxx would begin to frequently call him in the middle of the night and while he was at work to come defend him against trolls. Jake, obviously, was not very pleased to be called at such importune times over petty Internet drama, causing Cyraxx to become increasignly irate and lash out at Jake.
The straw that broke the camel's back was when MusicBizMarty threatened Cyraxx to doxx Jake unless he danced on camera[3]. Naturally, Cyraxx staunchly refused to subject himself to comparatively mild humiliation for his best friend's privacy, causing Marty to act on his threat and release Jake's adress and phone number. Needless to say that with trolls now pestering him to no end, Jake cut off all bridges with Cyraxx, figuring that his already shaky friendship with him was certainly not worth the harassment he was enduring.
