A defining characteristic of Chance is his inflated ego. While confidence and pride in one's accomplishments can be positive, Cyraxx exhibits extreme narcissism and overconfidence in most of his abilities and traits, including his intelligence, fame, wealth, and accomplishments.

Cyraxx has an extremely distorted view of himself as in his mind he is a world-famous music artist, singer, artist, e-racer, entrepreneur, and professional video game player/developer with ties to numerous organizations such as the military, Hell's Angels, Akron Red Devils, and an ancestry dating back to the Vikings. Whether he actually believes these things or just says them to impress people isn't entirely clear, but he probably believes at least some of his made-up stories.

Origins

Cyraxx's world starts and ends with himself only and he seems completely incapable of talking about anything that doesn't directly affect him, and exactly why his ego is so big is probably a combination of both mental illness and the environment in which he was raised.

Sally definitely played a significant role in shaping his worldview, likely by her coddling him, sheltering him from the outside world, and fulfilling his needs without requiring any effort or accountability in return, which fostered a sense of entitlement and an inflated self-image that left him ill-equipped to handle criticism or failure. In addition to this, Cyraxx’s struggles with his physical appearance, poor living situation, and lack of meaningful accomplishments have likely deepened his insecurities and mental illness.

Rather than addressing these issues, he appears to cope by retreating into delusions of grandeur and by creating narratives in which he is talented, successful, and persecuted. Him denying of reality helps him preserve his fragile ego but it also further isolates him from the world.

Being an incredibly prideful person, Cyraxx is extremely reactive to any attack on his ego. Cyraxx's delusions not only alter reality - they outright transcend it, and he expects others to believe them wholeheartedly. Since Cyraxx's delusions are by definition untrue and his ego is unwarranted, he becomes extremely frustrated and lashes out when his delusions are challenged and he ends up failing at every hurdle. This kind of juvenile behavior reached an extreme in 2012 when Cyraxx physically assaulted Sally after she refused to let him carry out an extremely stupid plan to walk to Kansas with no money to meet a girl who eventually turned out to be a catfish.

When Cyraxx's critics criticize or disprove his beliefs, or even just say something that he feels will tarnish his image, Cyraxx will thoughtlessly dive into the situation head-first using intemperate tactics against his detractors such as calling them slurs or flashing them, even in situations where ignoring them would have been the best option. This only encourages them to provoke him into having more entertaining tantrums, creating a cycle in which Cyraxx's reactions attract more trolls, which in turn produce more critical and demeaning content against him that he feels compelled to respond to.

Cyraxx's clumsiness in handling these situations also has the effect of blurring the line between truth and lies. For example, when his Google account was hacked, Cyraxx's search history was leaked and a history of disturbing and embarrassing searches were revealed. Cyraxx reacted to this in the same way he reacts to almost everything, by throwing a huge fit and making empty threats, which his trolls and detractors took as incriminating, despite the fact that whoever hacked the account could have made these searches themselves just to get a reaction out of Cyraxx.

Why Cyraxx exactly does this isn't exactly clear, but it could be due to a deep-rooted feeling of insecurity caused by factors such as his appearance or his poor living situation.

Lack of accountability

The main reason Cyraxx is stuck in his perpetual child-like mindset is his adamant refusal to take any form of accountability for his actions, as he sees himself as uncapable of doing anything possibly wrong, and whoever thinks otherwise is either an antagonist or misunderstand his actions and that anything he says is facts. Any shortcomings or failures are never his fault, and when he has no-one to blame but himself, he straight up denies ever failing, such as when he got beat up by Marty and started posing around that he won, as if he conceded his defeat it could shatter his warped ego.

A good example of this is in the Youtube Hate Saga. Many of Cyraxx's videos and channels were taken down by YouTube due to his behavior and threats. However, instead of reflecting on the way he acts, he instead demanded that YouTube establishes a team of human employees to review each and every single video individually because he believes that the reason why he's being taken down is due to YouTube's AI being uncapable of seeing that he is committing those actions to "defend himself" against Marty.

In a more well-known instance, Cyraxx demanded that Marty paid him $100 per hour of screen time for a reboot of the Skull Scratcher Comedy show. Upon Marty verbally agreeing to the proposition, Cyraxx immediately went on live and produced an extremely botched version of the show. Upon hitting the 1-hour mark, Cyraxx concluded the livestream and ran to Marty to demand his $100 right away. Unhappy with the abyssal quality of the product, Marty refused to pay Cyraxx, which would cause him to go into an extreme fit of rage, believing to be entitled to the $100 despite making the bare minimum effort and delivering far less than promised.

Anytime Cyraxx tries to "apologize" for his misdeeds, he always prioritizes the fact that it's 'in the past' and that he's 'made mistakes like everyone else' while also refusing the point out what those 'mistakes' were. Acknowledging your mistake is the first step to correcting your behavior, while the 2nd one would be putting in the effort to make sure you never repeat it again—since Cyraxx believes he can do no wrong, he must use vague language so as to appear more down-to-earth than he actually is.

Projection

Projection is a defense mechanism that consists of attributing one’s own unacceptable urges or behavior to another. Because Cyraxx refuses to admit any fault, he has a habit of picking up anything negative that is said about him and spitting it back at whoever said it. What is peculiarly striking about his projections is how obvious Cyraxx’s projections are. For instance, he accused his aunt of living in filth and playing video games all day, seemingly not considering the irony that this is coming from the mouth of someone who is known to do both of these things.

Cyraxx’s low wit and intelligence may also contribute to his habit of projecting onto others. Unable to come up with comebacks in the heat of the moment, he will resort to regurgitating insults made by other, including insults made specifically about him. For example, Cyraxx made a video where he complains about the controversy surrounding Linkin Park's new singer, Emily Armstrong, because of her ties to the Church of Scientology (which many consider to be a cult). A few days later on Marty's panel, he accused Marty of being a Scientologist (despite Cyraxx also believing Marty is Jewish), which he calls an "evil internet cult." It's most likely that Cyraxx deduced from the aforementioned controversy that being a Scientologist is something really bad, and thus can be weaponizes against Marty. However, he fails to realize that Scientology is frowned upon as it is widely considered to be a scam made to exploit tax loopholes, not because it is "evil" in the way Cyraxx seems to imagine it.

Megalomania

Cyraxx is an incurable megalomaniac. In his head, he fancies himself as a master strategist that can act above the law and has a platoon of connections on speed dial. Returning to reality however, that of being a grown man without a dime and who is entirely dependent on an elderly woman for his most basic needs, these power fantasies are possibly a coping mechanism from Cyraxx’s frustration at his absence of control over virtually anything in his life, only succeeding at burning bridges, if anything.

Another symptom of Cyraxx’s megalomania is the way he attempts to bargain or argument with people. Compromise and exchange are the basis to a successful negotiation, but this requires taming one's pride, which is simply not an option to Cyraxx. To protect his ego, Cyraxx will always attempt to strongarm his way through exchanges, insulting and denigrating the other party to keep a feeling of superiority over them, even they have all the levers, and he has none.

For instance, during his second exchange with Ms. Kelly, someone he thought was a YouTube employee, instead of trying to calmly explain why he thinks that Marty should be definitively removed from the platform with solid arguments to back his points, he spews out slurs at her, insults her agency, screams over everyone like a child and threatens to have her job taken away.

Persecution complex

In contrast to his wild power and fame fantasies, Cyraxx also often depicts himself as a victim of unprovoked persecution and a struggling underground artist barely scraping by whenever it fits the current situation. Although there is indeed, for a lack of better words, a widespread conspiracy against Cyraxx and his caretakers, he will always deny any form of accountability or control over his woes, adopting a strictly external locust of control by claiming that everyone else are evil corrupt bullies going after an innocent man strictly because of his odd looks. This thinking conveniently ignores the fundamental reasons behind his predicament, that is his lack of self-control to provocations and his horrid personality. Cyraxx does this because it justifies most his shortcomings and his more reprehensible actions. For instance, when Cyraxx is confronted with his habit of flashing his phallus on Marty's livestreams to get him banned, he will usually claim that Marty leaves him no choice but to expose himself as a mean of "self-defense".

A good example of this are the many "crying videos" that punctuates his uploads, during which he will unconvincingly attempt to cry while telling a sob-story about himself to elicit pity from his viewers.

Additionally, Cyraxx will often tactlessly appropriate other's struggles or invent stories in order to make himself look more interesting or fish for sympathy. A good example of this is the death of his uncle Billy. Following this, Cyraxx started to claim how difficult it was to lose such a close "brother". In reality however, Cyraxx never bothered to visit his uncle at the hospital with Sally.

Narcissistic Personality Disorder

It is highly possible that Chance's ego is a result of Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD). He exhibits many of the traits typical with NPD as defined in the DSM-5, including:

• Having a grandiose sense of self-importance - such as greatly, greatly exaggerating his "skills" and "talents" like music or e-racing.
• Preoccupation with fantasies of success, power, beauty and idealization - such as putting his 'career' and 'fame' before friends and family.
• Belief in being "special" and that they can only be understood or associated with other high status people or institution - such as comparing himself to pillars of the music industry like Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley, or associating himself to prestigious record labels like Machiavelli Records.
• Demanding excessive admiration - such as lambasting his "fans" for not sharing his content more.
• Sense of entitlement - such as thinking that he is worth millions.
• Exploitation behaviors - such as stealing Sally's credit card while she was in the hospital or putting Vita at risk of being doxxed to save himself.
• Lack of empathy - such as dismissing the consequences of being doxxed or becoming unemployed as trivial.
• Envy towards others or belief that others are envious of them - Such as his narrative that everyone is just "jealous" that the weird-looking guy is being "successful".

Examples of Chance's ego

• When it is convenient to do so, Cyraxx will use his uncomely appearance as a way to cope with adversity, such as failing to graduate high school, failing to get anywhere with his music "career" and being relentlessly bullied and hated, boiling everything down to the fact he's too ugly. This allows him to reject any sort of accountability by deflecting all of his issues onto something which he cannot control; while his looks certainly do not make him any favors, they have almost no importance compared to the real root causes of his problems, namely refusing to put any effort in any of his work, his abyssal lack of talent, and his horrendous personality and attitude.
• Cyraxx has unapologetically demanded that his "fans" outright sacrifice their livelihood to defend him against Marty. He condescendingly dismisses the consequences of being doxxed or losing your job as trivial (such as saying that there's "50 jobs down the street 10 feet apart from each other"), and that the trolls will simply send them useless junk and a few mean words. Meanwhile, Cyraxx constantly overdramatizes being the victim of trolls, whining that he had been the target of terrorism, theft and that he was almost killed several times at their hands. This abject display of entitlement only served to reinforce how selfish and disconnected with the real world Cyraxx is, especially considering that he'd be the one to know what it is like to being doxxed by a group of ravenous trolls.
• During a panel with MusicBizMarty, Cyraxx was caught flashing his penis on camera by Sally, causing an argument between the two. When Sally tells Cyraxx that she will not be stopping the police if they come to arrest him for indecent exposure, Cyraxx petulantly replies "Yes you are!", showing how much he truly cares for his family.
• On January 28th 2022, a drive-by shooting occured down the street from 339, leaving a young boy in critical condition. Cyraxx ran to the scene while the police was taking witness testimonies from neighbors, gawking at what was going on and being generally useless. After the police left, Cyraxx made a tearful video in which he claims that the bullet could have been aimed at him, and blamed the trolls for shooting of the young boy, interjecting himself into a tragedy that had nothing to do with him for pity points.
• Cyraxx has a habit to claiming that he "owns" Marty and the trolls, because without him they would have no content. Although there might be some truth in that statement, it would be significantly easier for even the more dedicated trolls to step away from Cyraxx than it would be for Cyraxx to step away from the trolls, as has he has spent years digging his own grave to the point where his life would become entierly meaningless without all the lies the trolls meticulously crafted for him. Even when he's out of the spotlight, it is generally because he is being stringed along behind the scenes by another troll filling his addiction for attention.
• Cyraxx is adament that his inability to keep friends and his constant conflicts with people is solely the fault of trolls and detractors. Take this notable example here : Cyraxx is lengthily ranting about about someone who was dismissing his "music", causing Sally to exclaim "And you wonder you have problems with your friends" as she walks by. Cyraxx adresses this later by pretending that Sally did not speak, and deflects all the blame onto people who refuse to recognize his "talents".

This is not an exhaustive list, as Cyraxx is incredibly egotistical and constantly finds new groups or cultures to claim affiliation with or leadership over.

• Claims to have lost millions due to trolls.
• Claims to have millions of fans across the world
• After being beat up by Marty, Cyraxx would cope with this humiliating defeat by asserting that Marty only won the fight because he dishonorably "used his weight" or "fell onto him". In his mind, Marty "cheated" because he did not let Cyraxx get back on his feet.
• Wears a chain with a caricature of himself, spray-painted gold with fake rubies, sent by a troll to mock him. He uses it as a coping mechanism after being beaten up by MBM.
• Believes he is an artist, racer, and rapper with many fans.
• Claims to be an underrated, poor, and broke artist when it suits his narrative.
• Claims to have been raised around the US Military, Hell's Angels, Viking brothers, and bikers, and knows people who will kill for him.
• Believes he has Viking blood and that being related to a Viking makes him one.
• Claims to be as famous as Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson, who are literally referred to as "The Kings" of their respective genres.
• Believes that you don't need to have any training or practice on any instrument to be good.
• Claims to have met Tupac's mother and family at Machiavelli Records, where he says he was part of.
• Claims to be friends with Eric Wilson, the bassist of Sublime.
• Claims to be good at video games.
• Claims that ignorance of the law prohibits you from being arrested for breaking said law.
